Product Description

  • A premium yacht high gloss marine enamel for topside, yacht, deck work including masts and funnels for accommodation space and inboard work.
  • An anticorrosive top coat for use in the marine environment, with good gloss, good adhesion, good flow and levelling and good colour retention.
  • Easy to apply using a brush, roller or conventional spray.
  • Can be applied to properly prepared interior and exterior iron and steel, aluminum, zinc, fibreglass and wooden surfaces over Berger Zinc Chromate Primer or Berger Universal Metal Primer.

Recommendations for Surface Preparation

  • For iron and steel surfaces, hand or power tool clean to remove all rust, mill scale, grease, oil or dirt.
  • Prime using Berger Zinc Chromate Primer, Berger Universal Metal Primer, Berger Epilux 610 or Berger Epimastic 5100.
  • For aluminum and zinc surfaces, remove all grease and oil using Berger Reducer #2, then treat surface using Berger Etch Wash Primer.
  • For wooden surfaces, ensure surface is thoroughly dried and cleaned using Berger Reducer #2.
  • Apply 2 coats of Berger Universal Undercoat White, thinning the first coat using 25% Berger Reducer #2.
  • For fibre glass, clean thoroughly and remove dirt and grease. Rub down with 240 grade waterproof abrasive paper.
  • No primer is required.

Application Procedure

  • When using a brush or roller, apply an even coat.
  • When using a conventional spray, use a tip size 1.8–2.2 mm, 40–50 psi.

For Thinning and Easy Clean-Up, Use

  • Berger Reducer #2.
